First market appearance!

I attended my first market as MAA Artwork on Sunday and it brought back a lot of memories from when I used to help my Mum at the markets she sold Phoenix Trading cards and stationary.

The event was not a true craft fair, but stalls at a car event called Rallye at the River. To be on theme I spent Easter weekend painting multiple car related originals with my new gouache paints Mum bought me for my birthday. I was very pleased with them as it was my first attempt at painting cars (see attached photos and decide for yourself if I pulled it off).

Unfortunately, it just wasn’t the right crowd for selling a lot or having many people to interact with. People who attended the event were there to view other peoples cars, and so less clientele for mooching.

None the less, I had great fun with my friend Sophie and I sold a few prints, some decorations and a crochet turtle!
