Getting out of a creative rut

Since the market I did in May I have been in a bit of a creative rut. To get myself out of said rut, I decided to challenge myself to a series I had seen other artists do on Tik Tok - “A painting a day for the month of….”.

So I decided to make June my month to challenge myself to this series. Now that we are half way through the month, my current observations have been as follows:

• sometimes when you come home from your full time job you can’t be bothered to paint and that’s okay

• taking a walk helps get re inspired for what to paint that day

• sometimes paint what is right in front of you (in the case of my window seat painting)

• I have tried some different styles so far, some of which I like, some of which I hate but that’s the point in trying new things.
